The DJ Screw "Soldiers United for Cash" documentary was filmed primarily in 1999 and 2000, while DJ Screw & Screwed Up Click were here to share their story. DJ Screw reveals how he got his name, and how he started creating his signature slowed down mixes, which started the “Screwed & Chopped” genre. The film represents Houston Rap's golden era with iconic freestyles, music videos, and concert performances, along with exclusive studio footage of DJ Screw on the turntables making a Screw tape. Robert E. Davis, Jr. (DJ Screw) passed away unexpectedly on November 16, 20000, shortly after recording his main interview and performance for the film. Many members of the Screwed Up Click have passed away also, including Big Steve, brothers Fat Pat and Big Hawk, Big Moe, D-Drew, Mr. 3-2, Macc Grace and Big Pokey. Salute to all the fallen soldiers of the S.U.C., their memories live on through their music and ever-growing impact.
